Leakage Management

The purpose of this website is to educate engineers in the principals of water leak detection using a proven 3 step strategy.

The find.more.leaks website is intended as a source of information rather than a commercial presentation.

Step 1LocaliseLOCALISE
This first stage helps the water utility or contractor identify areas of probable leakage, and should include the logging of flows and pressures within the water distribution network.

Step 2Precise Location of leakageLOCATE
This stage should put the leakage operative very close to the leaks, often to within just 1 metre or less. This level of accuracy can be done with the use of Leak Noise Correlators (or 'LNC').

Step 3Confirmation of exact leak locationPINPOINT
The final stage in the 'L.L.P.' process is to confirm the exact location of the leak; to 'pinpoint' it precisely, prior to excavation and repair.
